Deputy Director & Principal Data Analyst
|
The Deputy Director & Principal Data Analyst facilitates
the development, implementation and management of effective management and
executive reporting processes and data analysis systems on which the
University can confidently make strategic business decisions. The Deputy
Director also assists the Director with other key responsibilities,
including meeting internal management reporting and external statutory
reporting obligations, managing the University's annual IAF including
preparing data for DEEWR and co-ordinating documentation for the bi-annual
visit from DEEWR, and managing the University's annual Enrolment Plan. A
particular priority for the Deputy Director is to develop systems and
maintain an appropriate support environment to deliver timely and accurate
current and predictive data to the campus community to enable achievement
of the University's strategic imperatives.

Data Analyst (Statistics)
|
The Data Analyst (Statistics) is responsible for processing,
correcting, collating and validating data collected by Ithe office for the
generation of the three annual DEEWR Student Statistics Collections, and for
the timely submission of the data files according to DEEWR specifications.
He also contributes to the analysis and preparation of the office's
standard and non-standard statistical reports and publications, including
IAF tables, the Statistics Books and Student Equity Indicators. He provides
day-to-day systems administration support for the office, and advises the
Director on IT issues.

Data Analyst

|
The Data Analyst (Data Support) prepares data files that
support key offfice documents such as the Statistics Books and web-based
student statistics. These files also underpin much of the statistical
analysis conducted by the office and used by the senior management and
staff of the University for planning and monitoring purposes, including the
Enrolment Plan. He is also responsible for the management of the
University's statutory reporting to DEEWR on staff statistics and is the
first point of contact for ad-hoc statistical enquiries relating to
students and staff.

Data Analyst (Analysis)
|
The Data Analyst (Analysis) maintains the Faculty weights used
in the calculation of the University's Budget Estimates, and assists the Director
with the collection, preparation and analysis of data for the University's
Enrolment Plan. She is responsible for maintaining the integrity of the
data base on course structures and loads that underpins the Student
Statistics Collection, and assists in the generation of that Collection.
She also contributes to the analysis and preparation of the office's
standard and non-standard statistical reports and publications.
